The ZouSim family of multi-modal simulators includes a trucking simulator, driving simulator, walking simulator, wheeling simulator and bicycle simulator. The simulators can be used for many transportation applications, including:
The labs include the capabilities outlined below as well as the Translab computing facility, the Traffic Management Center and a shared-use, 10,000 square foot Remote Testing Facility.

A part of MU’s College of Engineering, the Mizzou Asphalt Pavement and Innovation Lab (MAPIL) is committed to cutting-edge asphalt research, mix design and surface sustainability.
MAPIL is also one of the most comprehensive asphalt programs in the world, and sponsored by the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA).

This is a “virtual” center that focuses on building a portfolio of research projects that address the needs of transportation staff. Dozens of faculty across the campus have participated in hundreds of research and technology projects.
The center also works with MCTI’s partners across disciplines and delivers opportunities to use valuable technologies like virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, smart materials, data analytics, freight planning, highway safety and more.
The TIC develops partnerships in the College of Engineering, across campus and nationally to develop solutions in:
