The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and the Missouri Center for Transportation Innovation (MCTI) are establishing Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) consisting of:

TAGs are formed to govern 11 specific focus areas that touch every aspect of transportation research.

These TAGs distill research ideas from all of MCTI’s network partners, bringing a diverse range of expertise and knowledge to bear upon research needs ideation and synthesis.

The role of TAGs is to:

  • Identify critical research needs and build on existing research (both from within MCTI and elsewhere).
  • Refine and synthesize research ideas by discussing existing state, national and international research findings and active research projects.
  • Collaborate to generate summaries and factual information to help inform MoDOT’s research prioritization.
  • Once received from MoDOT, disseminate and encourage responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Assist with proposal responsiveness and promote access across MU system campuses and other MCTI stakeholder groups.
  • Promote teamwork across campuses and other stakeholder groups, leading to  synergistic, qualified teams and robust RFP responses (proposals).
